How long does it take to become a licensed cosmetologist or esthetician?
Our Cosmetology program is 1,600 hours — typically completed in about 9 months full-time. Our Esthetics program is 600 hours, completed in about 6 months full-time, or longer on the evening part-time track. Both programs prepare you for the California State Board licensing exam.
Do you offer evening classes for students who work?
Yes — our Esthetics evening program runs Monday through Thursday, 5:30pm to 9:30pm. Many students from Tarzana, Reseda, and Encino take this track so they can keep their current job while they train for a new career.
What will I learn in the cosmetology program?
You'll master hair cutting, coloring, texture services, chemical treatments, and salon business fundamentals — all using professional Redken products in a working salon environment. You'll practice on real clients from early in your training, which means you graduate with real skills and real confidence.
